Elizabeth Choy was a brave woman who tried her best to save her own country. She is a heroine who risked her own life for the sake of the country. In order to see her husband, she agreed to be kept in a prison cell with twenty other male prisoners. She was tortured by the Japanese and she even got electrocuted in front of her husband which is really very painful but she still did not give up. Ever since she got electrocuted, she was so scared of electricity that she did not even dare to touch a switch. Even though they tortured her, she did not disclose any information to them. Although she had a hard time there getting tortured, most of the prisoners would have already given up hope but she was very persistent and continued to fight on. She had a never say die attitude and preserverance which we should all follow.
